There she smiled with tears of joy
Laid down by her prince of love
Water trailed in the brook nearby
A secret hidden place and cove
And thereupon the rock she sat
The sweet princess in silent pain
The heavy tears in her eyes
They drop and then swell again
The liquid slid down quickly
The poison surely had a bitter taste
As the scene is dying down
The smell of death in the waste
The sun sloping up in the sky
Her fairytale here and gone
There she smiled with tears of joy
For he took his final breath that dawn
