“The Rock”
I am the rock, but the rock isn’t me,
But the current that moves perpetually.
The river flows sweet, seemingly;
But mars below, and zealously.
Drops that define one smooth and sheen;
Define another more rigidly.
I am the rock but the rock isn’t me,
But the current that moves perpetually.
None perceive her brutality.
The artist is patient and meticulously
Pours over each detail painfully;
Ensuring each mark is truly unique.
I am the rock, but the rock isn’t me,
But the current that moves perpetually.
